While Mother Nature has graced us with her presence a couple of times this winter season, delivering a few sparse smatterings, Lake City has had very little in the way of snow compared to historic snow totals for this time of year. According to local meteorologist Phillip Virden, Lake City and Colorado in general have gotten off to a very slow start in terms of snow for both the months of October and November.
Above photo was taken Monday, November 20, the day after a light dusting of snow fell in town on Sunday. We should, according to Virden, expect more soon thanks to a strong El Nino system that will allegedly take place this upcoming winter season.
