It’s a busy summer week in Lake City in coming days with multiple events, tops of which is Lake City Arts’ remarkable 48th Annual Lake City Arts & Crafts Festival in Lake City Town Park next Tuesday, July 16.
Also coming up next week on Saturday, July 20, is the annual Stick Horse Rodeo, as well as the Chamber of Commerce’s Town-Wide Yard Sale.
Lake City Arts Executive Director Katie Briggs tells WORLD the Arts and Crafts Fair begins at 9 a.m., and will have 65 booths, including local vendors Mark Zeckser with Alpine Iron Designs, Svetlana Piltingsrud with a booth of her unique artworks, Lori Bowling, Lake City Arts new ceramics instructor with Whistlepig Pottery, Phil Fleischman with Peppermills of Distinction, and WORLD’s own Jennifer Rightsell with her first-time booth, ‘The Wax Menagerie,’ selling a variety of molded candles including mermaids, snakes, toad stools, foxes, lions Ringwraiths and vestal virgins.
