This year’s Middle School Boys Basketball team consisted of a dedicated group of student-athletes who demonstrated growth, teamwork, and perseverance throughout the season. The team consisted of 8th graders Dax Elkins, Landon Rhodes, Brantley Votruba, and Elijah Wuest, 7th graders Wyatt Loper and Henry Shepherd, 6th grader Nathaiel Menzies, and 5th grader Holden Crump.
The team had a successful year, building skills and learning to compete together both on and off the court. The season concluded with a tournament at Sangre de Cristo, where the boys faced strong competition.
After a hard-fought loss in their first game against Ortega Middle School, the team responded with determination and earned a win against Creede, finishing third overall in the tournament.
The progress made over the course of the season reflects the players’ commitment and effort, and they should be proud of their accomplishments.
