On behalf of the Pioneer Jubilee Women’s Club, thank you to everyone for supporting the 2024 4th of July Hotdog and Shaved Ice Booth!
As you may know, all proceeds collected from this event are awarded as grants and given back to Lake City non-profit organizations. With great attendance from so many customers, the hotdogs and shaved ice sold out this year thus raising additional funds which will now be returned to the community!
To the businesses who assisted us, the club extends heartfelt thanks to The Country Store and to the Elkhorn RV Resort, the Highlander RV Campground, the River Fork RV Park and Campground, the Woodlake Park and B’s Cabins and Mini Mart for the donation of much needed ice throughout the day.
The Hotdog Booth is a team effort with close to 45 volunteers assisting during the day. Much appreciation is extended to the many club members who volunteered their time and talents in preparing and serving the menu items. Thank you to the grilling team, the line crew, the kitchen prep committee, the cashiers and to those who helped with the set-up and taking down of the tents.
Likewise, the club is thankful to Jason and Shannon Santos for loaning the use of the shaved ice machine and to those volunteers who froze the ice and then were busy serving the refreshing afternoon treats.
What a fun, patriotic day it was as we celebrated together our country’s 4th of July!
With Gratitude,
